At the 10th Annual Forum of the EU strategy for the Baltic Sea Region on 12 and 13 June in Gdansk our project’s colleague Emile Bruls from Rijkswaterstaat – Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management (the Netherlands) presented the CPP project.

During a workshop on sustainable production and consumption of food Emile talked about the procurement of catering services. He presented the Pļaviņu region gymnasium case from Latvia and the way national government in the Netherlands is working towards circular procurement and a more plant-based diet in its office catering. The workshop was moderated by Mr Grzegorz Piskalski from the Polish Institute for Sustainable Public Procurement. Other speakers were presenting StratKIT, an INTERREG project on sustainable public catering. After the presentation about the about forty people in the workshop took part in a lively discussion on topics concerning catering. Issues being discussed were for instance the scale and access to public tenders of local produce.
