On Wednesday 30 and Thursday 31 October 2019 Dutch Rijkswaterstaat agency gave two lectures at the Higher School of Economics (HSE) in St. Petersburg. About 60 students attended.

The first lecture was an introduction by Joan Prummel to circular economy and basic principles and lessons learnt of circular procurement. In the second lecture Take Padding (from PIANOO, Dutch knowledge center on public procurement), Emile Bruls and Cuno van Geet presented several examples from practical cases in the fields of construction, furniture, textiles and IT.

After this students worked on an assignment in which they developed their own ideas on circular product strategies. These cases were then presented to the class. Rijkswaterstaat and HSE are both partners in the CPP project. The lectures are part of the Capacity building work package of the CPP project. Another set of lectures will be given in December in the HSE branch in Perm.
