The first day of Circular Seminar in Rzeszów

The first day of the Circular Seminar took place on 25th November 2019 in Rzeszów. The seminar was organized by Rzeszów Regional Development Agency – RRDA.

The seminar began with a welcome by Ms. Agnieszka Sznyk, then Ms. Elżbieta Szczygieł gave a lecture on the idea of circular publick procurement and ways to implement it in practice.

Afterwards, Ms. Agnieszka Sznyk gave her lecture on the activities of various entities dealing with circularity in Poland.

The next speaker was Professor Boleslaw Rok who delivered his interesting lecture on the challenges of sustainable development in purchasing policies.

After the coffee break, Mr. Hubert Bukowski from the INNOWO Foundation, who presented a presentation on public procurement in construction as a support of circular economy. He stated that the construction industry in recent years has moved away from circular to linear solutions. Which is not a good solution.

The last speaker of the first day was Mr. Łukasz Sosnowski made an interesting presentation on public authority initiatives for circular public procurement. He stressed that circular solutions need to be made more cost-effective for the general public to use them more willingly.
